Pay As You Go
£90 • If you want to learn to drive and would prefer to take two hour lessons on a regular basis then you can pay when you go.
We are sure that you will find our regular lessons affordable and that our pricing structure is realistic and competitive. Smart Pass York Driving School don’t use gimmicks and we don’t have any hidden fees.

Starter — 5 Hours
£210 • Gear up for driving success! Our automatic driving course package has everything you need to pass your test in comfort. Take personalised lessons at your own pace, all in a modern automatic car. We offer a range of packages to suit your schedule, with DVSA-approved instructors by your side every step of the way. Build Confidence — 10 Hours
£420 • We'll tailor your lessons (days/weeks) to fit your schedule. After mastering the basics, we'll hit the road, practising junctions, traffic lights, roundabouts, and various road types (rural, dual carriageways etc.). You'll learn road awareness and priority, gaining skills for life, not just your test. Mock tests prepare you for success!

Intensive Driving Lessons— 10 Hours
£450 • Intensive courses let you pass your test faster than weekly lessons (up to 6 months). Complete in days, depending on prior experience (suggest 4 hours/day). We recommend 45 hours total (national average) minus your prior lessons. Example: 45 hours - 15 hours prior = 30 hours needed. Alternatively, take an assessment lesson to determine your needed hours. Smart Pass offers intensive courses in York. Call to discuss!

Refresher Driving Lessons — 5 Hours
£210 • Refresher Driving Lessons are perfect for those who have already passed their test but still need some driving tuition. Whether you’re looking to build your confidence, or you haven’t driven in a while, our refresher driving lessons are perfect for you. Our lessons are tailored to your individual needs. You will already know how to drive, so we’ll focus on areas to improve.

Pass Plus — 6 Hours
£240 • This is a 6-hour course recognised by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), aimed to enhance driving ability. You’ll develop existing skills while also learning new ones – becoming a safer, more courteous driver with increased road awareness.

Motorway driving lessons — 2 Hours
£90 • Although learners in England, Scotland and Wales have been allowed on motorways since 2018, there’s always room for more practice. If you’d like to master motorway and dual carriageway driving, speak to us today.
